CONTRACTORLANE
Washington deadline reminders

The state never reminds you. We do.

Washington assigns your business a pile of filing deadlines — excise tax, annual report, license renewals, employer filings — and suspends, penalizes, or dissolves you when you miss them. This is an email that shows up before each one, telling you what is due, when, and where to file it.

January 31st doesn't care that you were busy.

If you have even one employee, here is what Washington and the IRS expect from you on a single day:

Due the same day — January 31
  • Jan 31 Form 941, Q4 federal payroll return
  • Jan 31 Form 940, annual FUTA return
  • Jan 31 W-2s to every employee + W-3 to the SSA
  • Jan 31 1099-NEC to every subcontractor you paid $600+
  • Jan 31 ESD quarterly unemployment report, Q4
  • Jan 31 L&I workers comp quarterly report, Q4
  • Jan 31 Paid Leave + WA Cares quarterly report, Q4
  • Jan 31 DOR quarterly excise return, Q4

Eight filings, one day, and that's one quarter. Miss the excise return and penalties stack. Miss the annual report and the state administratively dissolves your company. Nobody calls to warn you first.

Every deadline, matched to your business.

Answer a few questions once — entity type, filing frequency, whether you hire — and only the deadlines that apply to you show up. 38 reminders in the catalog.

How it works

1

Answer a few questions

Entity type, your DOR filing frequency, license dates, whether you have employees or subs. Two minutes, changeable anytime.

2

We build your calendar

Only the deadlines that apply to your business, each with the official agency link and what the filing actually is.

3

Email lands before each one

You pick the lead time (default 14 days). The email says what's due, when, and where to file. That's the whole product.

Questions

I'm not a contractor. Does this still work?

Yes. The excise return, annual report, license renewal, employer filings, and federal deadlines hit every Washington small business. The contractor-specific reminders (L&I registration) simply don't fire if they don't apply to you.

Does it file anything for me?

No, and that's deliberate. It reminds you ahead of each deadline with the official link. You (or your bookkeeper) file. It replaces the sticky note, not the CPA.

What if my filing frequency changes?

Change it in settings and the calendar rebuilds instantly. Same for hiring your first employee — flip one toggle and the entire employer layer turns on.

How do I cancel?

One button on your settings page. It cancels in Stripe immediately, no email chains, no phone call.
